The material well being of 15% of the population of Valencia Community depends on the help of Red Cross.

The number of those who receive material help of Cruz Roja in Valencia Community is increasing though the macroeconomic indicators show improvement of economics in Spain.

The president of Cruz Roja in Valencia Community, Francisco Javier Gimeno, noted that in 2017 there were 880,544 local residents that received help of the organization, and it is 28% more than in 2016. In total, every one out of six inhabitants of the provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellon are registered officially for Cruz Roja support. Thus, 15% of the population of Valencia community can´t survive without Cruz Roja support.

Over the past two years the number of Cruz Roja offices in Valencia Community has increased from 74 to 94. It is expected that in 2012 other 16 Cruz Roja offices will be opened in the region, elmundo.es reports.
