The orchestra that performs at Nobel Prize ceremony – in Alicante

On Friday, the 4th of May, ADDA concert hall in Alicante will host the performance of Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra directed by outstanding and extremely emotional conductor Sakari Oramo. A famous Russian pianist Nikolai Luganski will also perform during this concert.

Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra has a fabulous history that dates back to 1902! A galaxy of talented conductors from all over the world worked with it: from America, Czech Republic, Finland, USSR, Israel, Hungary, etc. This musical collective was renamed few times. Ninety years after it had been founded, the Royal family of Sweden decided to be its patron, since then the word “Royal” appeared in the name of the orchestra. Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is the official orchestra of the annual Nobel Prize ceremony.

The beginning of the concert at the ADDA in Alicante: May 4th, at 20:00.
