On Friday, the 8th of June, 24 police officers started their work on five city beaches to ensure control and security there.

It was reported by with reference to the Department of Security of Alicante City Hall/ La Concejalía de Seguridad del Ayuntamiento de Alicante.

Police officers patrol the beaches: El Postiguet, l’Albufereta / l’Almadrava, Saladar / Urbanova, San Juan and Tabarca – every day from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, on foot, riding bicycles and four-wheel motorcycles quads. Their service will be active on the beaches of Alicante until the 15 September.

The city authorities are determined to ensure greater control over the cleanliness of the beaches of Alicante in summer of 2018, as well as the police prompt response to traffic accidents and illegal commerce in areas close to the beach.

Lifeguards service has been working already on the beaches of Alicante as well as monitoring of rental service of catamarans and water motorcycles, and organization of boat trips. In total, to ensure the excellent functioning of the beaches of the capital of the province in the summer of 2018, there are 46 specialists hired, including paramedics, rescuers, coordinators, etc., the newspaper reports.

At the same time, there was increased the activity of the unit on fires prevention/ la Unidad de Buceo del Servicio de Prevención y Extinción de Incendios y Salvamento.
