There are more women than men in the new Cabinet of Ministers of Spain
The newly elected President of Spanish Government, the head of PSOE party Pedro Sanchez who was officially inaugurated to this 5 days ago, on Saturday, the 2nd of June, has already formed a new cabinet of ministers.
Today, on the 7th of June, at el Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid, the new ministers solemnly swore allegiance to the country and Spanish Constitution. Just like the head of government, they swore on the Constitution of Spain, but without the Bible and the Crucifixion. In total, there are 17 ministers in the new Cabinet of Ministers of Pedro Sanchez, 11 of them are women, reports abc.es. For the first time ever majority of new Spanish ministers introduced changes in the text of their oath using the female version of the word “minister” – “ministra”, and also the expression “el Consejo de Ministras y Ministros”.
